Regulatory Law, Professional Licensing and Discipline The attorneys of McConnell Siderius Fleischner Houghtaling & Craigmile, LLC have expertise in the areas of state and federal regulatory practice. Included in this area is the firm's practice in professional, occupational, institutional licensure and enforcement with state and federal regulatory agencies. Members of our firm have represented both providers and institutions in privileging and credentialing matters and have represented a variety of professionals in administrative/licensing matters through to hearing and appeal where necessary. This is a challenging area of the law where we have earned our reputation for aggressive representation by helping clients through difficult and often frustrating proceedings before government agencies. These proceedings will often determine whether or not an individual can continue his or her professional practice or a company's ability to do business in Colorado, At any given time, we have cases where we are actively defending individuals or organizations before the Board of Medical Examiners, Board of Nursing, Department of Public Health and Environment, the Public Utilities Commission, and other regulatory bodies. These regulatory proceedings are often coordinated with medical/hospital negligence cases. We are also involved in advising clients about the ever-changing world of regulations that affect their ability to do business in a complex economic environment. Our lawyers successfully help clients proactively and preventatively stay in compliance with regulatory agencies. A member of our firm previously served as the Deputy Attorney General of Colorado representing numerous state agencies. The Regulatory Law group at MSFHC has extensive experience with the Rules of Professional Conduct and the Colorado Rules of Procedure Regarding Attorney Discipline and Disability Proceedings. One of our attorneys has been actively involved in drafting new proposed rules and ethics opinions for the Colorado Bar Association's Ethics Committee. In addition to the work we do in the area of public regulation, our attorneys also have experience with private credentialing and peer review matters, particularly in the health care area. We regularly represent individuals and organizations before peer review or private credentialing agencies and we have successfully prosecuted and defended these cases. Contact Linda
